Are you searching for a new adventure? Have you always wanted to travel the planet? Are you interested in a different way to let people know about your travels? Finding beads from all over the world and making bead bracelets can be a great way to flaunt your travel experiences.

Collecting beads from all the places you have visited could be like the collecting of stickers of old. People that traveled the world would collect stickers from the places they visited and slap them on the outside of their suitcase. Creating a new bead bracelet with beads from all over the world may be the new sticker on the suitcase.

This would be a fantastic, original way of showing off your journeys. You can put them in order from the first country through the last country you visited. This will help tell the story of your visit throughout the world. As you show people the beads you can tell stories of your adventures. Choosing beads that symbolize your favorite parts of the journey can help you to tell the story. Finding beads that are exclusive to a certain region or originated from a particular country will make it special also.

Beads and bead bracelets have become more trendy in recent years. Used for thousands of years as embellishing elements, bead bracelets date back in usage to the ancient cultures of the Babylonians and Assyrians. Bead bracelets have also been used for religious functions for just as long. Modern religions still use beads and bead bracelets in their daily rituals. In using beads and bead bracelets in both decorative and religious ways, humans are maintaining thousands of years of rich tradition.

Ancient cultures used beads consisting of primitive materials like stones and bone for a variety of reasons. Tribal religious leaders would present them to warriors to wear into battle. The belief was that the beads would fill the wearer with strength and courage. Beads were also utilized in healing rituals. Beads were later used as a form of money by some North American Native American tribes, such as in the purchase of Manhattan Island in New York.

There are many religions which use beads. Buddhist use special prayer beads known as malas. They are in essence prayer counters, and the user will rotate the bead in their hand while reciting the mantra and then moving on to the next bead. Catholics will use rosary beads to keep track of their prayer recitations. These beads are categorized by “decades” for one particular prayer, and different prayers are said at other junctures. Muslims use prayer beads known as misbaha, when reciting particular prayers.
