Body piercing is an art and has been a practice by local tribes for several years. In the past, this process was considered a ritual by some tribes. But now almost any person can have their body parts pierced for fashion and style. Some people would enjoy to have piercings on their ears while some prefer to have it in other areas such as the nasal area and the eyebrows.

As mentioned, piercing was deemed as a ritual in the past. However, through the years it has become a fashion with tongue barbell, and if you would notice, almost everyone has their piercings. Having such piercings on the body makes a person extra beautiful and more attractive. Hence, a lot of people are enticed to have piercings.

The most typical piercings before, when it can be still considered as a ritual, would be those on the lips, ears, tongue, nose, and eyebrows. However, if you are going to observe now that this used to be social ritual among tribes has become a fashion statement, the most typical areas before are still common today. However, despite the fact that this procedure is common, there are still some risks associated with it. The healing time for a piercing is longer so it is necessary to properly take care of it to avoid having infections.
