Gold and silver are two of the most common elements that have been used by people a long time ago and up to the present to make jewelry. The jewelry industry is still making used of these two elements. Though these metals are great in jewelry, how is the other different from the other? What are the advantages?

Silver

Silver jewelry is the most common type of jewelry that is used by the majority of people all over the world today. There are three types of silver jewelry, namely, pure silver, sterling silver or silver-plated. Among these three types, sterling silver is the best because it is the hardest and it can withstand tarnishing more. The silver plated jewelry is a jewelry with an ordinary metal which is just coated with a thing coating of silver. These silver plated jewels are great as costume jewelry pieces and they are really cheap.
