Don’t let anyone tell you there is a bad occasion to give jewelry in it’s personalized form as a gift. It doesn’t matter what the occasion is, jewelry customized with a name will be well received. In reality I’d be willing to bet that no one would turn down a personalized gift such as this unless they were really stupid. My favorite gift for any occasion is one of a personal nature. You can have just about anything personalized for your gift recipient. Creating a personalized gift of jewelry is not as expensive as it was 30 years ago. And here’s the proof of some great times to give this kind of gift. By the way, trying to find an excellent way to lose weight? Check out the Slim in Six DVDs, it is excellent.

Obviously a person’s birthday is a good choice. Even casual acquaintances can be given personalized items now that personalization has become so affordable. There are lots of things you can give to someone on their birthday. Name necklaces are the most common gift. If you are buying the gift for a man, you might have a harder time passing this off. Cuff links or a tie pin might play better here. Has a person done something gracious for you and you want to give them a token of your appreciation? Why don’t you communication your thankfulness with some personalized jewelry? Personalized earrings (first initial earrings or hoops engraved with the person’s name) are a very nice way to tell one your girlfriends how thankful you are for her. If you are expressing your thankfulness to a male, who not a chain with his initials on it? Something non-complex and masculine looking should be sufficient. Silver bangle bracelets engraved with a person’s name are excellent gifts for girlfriends while wrist ties made from leather that have been emblazoned with the recipient’s name makes a likable gift for a man.

Is your sister having a baby soon? Do you have any idea what the child’s name will be? Perhaps one of the most sentimental items you can give a new parent is a piece of jewelry that is engraved with his or her baby’s name. Bracelets are a perfect example of a personalized jewelry gift. Pendants and pins can be good choices too. Some parents will create keepsakes for their children that they will gift to them on their 18th birthday. When you need a unique gift for a baby shower, personalized sleepwear is a good idea.

Costume Jewellery

A lot of women and young girls simply adore jewellery and love to receive it as presents. Here is a basic guide for buying costume jewellery.

We have all seen the dollar store trinkets that more resemble something a child would want to wear. These are very cheap and usually made of plastic or cheap metal and clearly fake. No jewel thief would ever make the mistake of stealing these items. As matter of fact, most children could tell you that they are costume jewellery, especially if they have seen a lot of good jewellery.

The next level is jewelry that costs a bit more but it can still be easily spotted as fake. This is usually of a little better quality though and from a distance might even look like it could be real. This is going to be what you would most likely get for a teenager or friend but you may not want to try and pass this off to your girlfriend or mother and try to make them think it’s real.

For really good costume jewelry you are going to pay as much or more than you would for the real stuff. This will usually be at least gold plated or silver and have cubic zirconia (CZ) as replacement for the gem stones. This is jewelry that most people won’t be able to tell is not real without a trained eye. What this jewellery is for is to look great and not cost as much as a piece that was genuine would.

So many women nowadays think more about the significance of their other jewelry – rings, necklaces and so on – that they forget to see the importance of the ladies gold watch. Gold watches complete a dressy outfit with grace and elegance. Their tiny gold bands and small round faces with exquisite detailing on the hands create such an important part of a woman’s outfit, it is a wonder why so many people don’t realize how great these tiny timepieces can be.
